This image was inspired by the view looking west from above the Otter estuary near Budleigh Salterton in East Devon. The lightness of touch and sense of atmosphere are reminiscent of qualities found in Japanese prints. As with Japanese prints this image was produced entirely by hand; no press was used.

Hand printed on Zerkall 145g paper. Each colour stage was hand burnished using a glass baren. This is a reduction print which means the block was gradually destroyed with each stage of the process. No further prints can be made from the block.
